Hollywood actress ignores Max Payne, talks WoW.
This is pretty close to a lot of geekish ideas of heaven. Actress Mila Kunis was interviewed by Jimmy Kimmel about her role as Mona Sax in the Max Payne movie. While this, alone, is enough to have some grepping for their collection of That 70s Show RealMedia files, she spends most of the interview talking about WoW.
The fact she played the game (with her paladin boyfriend, Macaulay Culkin) was known, but this is a whole other level. I think it is the first time I’ve ever seen a casual mention of Ventrilo on a talk show, and she may someday regret her ‘but that was in my twink guild’ line. WoW players know that twinking is the process of ridiculously gearing a low end character for PVP, but in the big, wide world, twink can mean something a bit different.
Anyone that has ever inappropriately nerded out over games will identify with the clip. This chick may have given up playing a year ago, but she’s still up on the lingo and the patch notes. That’s cool and scary in equal parts.
Skip through until about 3:45 when Kunis switches the subject from baseball to gaming.
