Remedy lifts the lid on some new Alan Wake footage at E3.
Any available footage of Remedy’s upcoming psychological thriller, Alan Wake, has always been spread rather thin. With the latest E3 now underway, however, the developer has decided to show off some more of the game. This time around, we’re treated to not only a trailer, but finally some actual gameplay. We also now have a release date, with Remedy’s star writer, Sam Lake, announcing it will arrive in the ‘Spring’ of next year.
Although coming out for both Windows and Xbox 360, the demonstration was played on the console. The controls of this form of third-person shooter certainly seem fitting to a game controller, so I’m keen to see how Remedy has translated this for the keyboard and mouse. Presumably, it’ll be similar in play style to its Max Payne series, of which it definitely shares a similarly foreboding atmosphere.
See below for the latest trailer, and then check out the gameplay on show from Remedy’s E3 press conference.
